What Should I Do? Pool decks should be cleaned and disinfected regularly to precent the spread of diseases, such as Athletes Foot, and reduce the slipperiness. A regular cleaning should be completed at minimum once per year, when the pool opens for the season. However, it is recommended that a cleaning be completed once when the pool opens and once when the season is over.
